FBSAC Mission Statement: The Flood Brook Student Activities Cooperative provides an ongoing mechanism for seeking donations, grants, and bequests, and channeling them to support educational and cultural activities on behalf of the Flood Brook Union School. FBSAC works with the school in the oversight of these fund raising activities in areas of appropriateness of both project and goal, frequency, calendar, and inclusion of all students. FBSAC strives to reduce the burden of fund raising activities on the surrounding local community.
Who are we? We are a not for profit organization serving the students of Flood Brook Union School. The Board of Directors is made up of parents, former parents, faculty, community members, a School Board representative, and a school administrator.
What do we do? We raise money. That's all. Then we give it back to the school for cultural and educational programs that would not otherwise be funded by taxes through the general school budget. This is done throughout the school year via fundraising events such as the Holiday Bazaar, Super Raffle, and the Annual Fund Drive. Sample activities that are funded by FBSAC include the ELF program for K-3, Farm & Wilderness Overnight trip for 5th grade, the 8th Grade Class Trip, Graduation, and the many student trips to local museums, theaters, and conferences.
How can you help? If you would like to learn more about FBSAC, our fundraising efforts, or how you can help, please contact Ann Hausslein or Grant Braddish at 824-6811.
